Katja Ivar was born in Moscow and spent her teenage years in Dallas, Texas. She holds a BA in Linguistics and a Masters in Contemporary History from the Sorbonne University. She lives in Paris with her husband and three children.

Her debut historical crime novel, Evil Things, was published in 2018 and the second book in the series, Deep as Death, was published in Summer 2020 to critical acclaim.

 

The third book in the series, Trouble was published in 2023. The first two books in the series have been optioned for television. Katja is currently working

on her first standalone mystery.
